The Blender lets you combine two of our blends at a ratio you choose, see the price, and send us the result. It is the shortest path between "I wonder what those two would be like together" and a real quote.
It is also narrower than people expect, so this is what it does, what it costs, and where it stops.
What it does
Pick two blends from the catalog. Pick a ratio. The tool shows you the split, generates a blend code that identifies your specific combination, and prices it at each available volume.
The blend code matters more than it looks. It is how your mix is identified afterwards, so when you come back in four months and want the same thing again, you have a reference rather than a memory of which two things you liked.
You can name the blend as well, which is worth doing if you are trying several.
What it costs
The Blender runs its own ladder, separate from the catalog:
| Volume | Per mL | Total |
|---|---|---|
| 120 mL (minimum) | $6.00 | $720 |
| 240 mL | $5.50 | $1,320 |
| 500 mL | $5.00 | $2,500 |
| 750 mL | $4.50 | $3,375 |
| 1,000 mL | $4.00 | $4,000 |
The minimum order is 120 mL at $720.
That is more per milliliter than an off-the-shelf blend, and it should be. At 120 mL a Native® blend is $450, or $3.75 per milliliter. The custom mix at the same volume is $720. You are paying for a blend that gets made rather than picked off a shelf, and the gap narrows as volume rises: at a liter the difference is $4.00 against $2.65.
If that gap is not worth it for your application, buy the catalog blend. Our MOQ and price breaks guide sets out the standard ladder.
The 5 mL sample
You do not have to spend $720 to find out whether your idea works.
A 5 mL sample of your specific mix costs $100. Order the blend afterwards and that $100 comes off the first full order, so the trial is effectively free once you commit. So if the sample works and you order 120 mL, the sample effectively costs nothing. If it does not work, you have spent $100 instead of $720 discovering that.
For anyone combining two profiles for the first time, this is almost always the right first step. The per-milliliter rate on a sample is high in isolation, but that is not the number that matters when the alternative is committing to the minimum blind.
What it does not do
It does not place an order. This is the one that catches people. Saving or emailing a blend from the tool sends us your specification. It does not take payment, it does not reserve stock, and nothing is in production until you have heard back from us and confirmed. If you built a blend on Friday and expected a shipment on Monday, that is why it did not arrive.
It does not do three-way mixes. Two blends, one ratio. If you need something more complicated, that is a formulation project rather than a Blender job, and the custom formulation process covers how those run.
It does not tell you the resulting compound profile. The tool works in blends and ratios, not in compounds. If you need to know what the combined profile analyzes at, ask us, and it is a lab answer rather than a calculated one.
It does not check your idea is sensible. It will let you build combinations that make little sense together. It is a pricing and specification tool, not a formulator.
How to use it well
Start from a question, not from curiosity. "I want the Blue Dream body with more citrus on the top" is a brief. Combining two blends because both sound nice usually produces something that reads muddled.
Sample before you commit. $100 against $720 is not a close decision.
Test in your matrix, not on the bench. A combination that smells right neat can behave differently at 5% in distillate. Our guide on dosing by product type covers what changes between the bottle and the finished product.
Write down the blend code. It is the only thing that makes your mix reorderable.
FAQ
What is the minimum order on a custom blend?
120 mL at $720. Below that, the only option is the 5 mL sample at $100.
How much is an Entour Blender sample?
$100 for 5 mL of your specific mix. That amount is deducted from your first full order, so it costs nothing if you go ahead.
Is a custom blend more expensive than a catalog blend?
Yes. At 120 mL a custom mix is $720 against $450 for a Native® blend, and at a liter it is $4,000 against $2,650. The gap narrows as volume rises.
Does building a blend in the tool place an order?
No. It sends us your specification so we can come back to you. Nothing is in production and no payment is taken until you confirm.
Can I mix three blends?
Not in the Blender. It handles two blends at one ratio. Anything more is a custom formulation project.
Can I reorder the same custom mix later?
Yes, using the blend code the tool generates. Save it, because it is what identifies your specific combination.
Where to take this next
If you have two profiles in mind, build the mix, order the 5 mL sample, and test it in your actual product before spending the minimum. If you are not sure the two you are looking at belong together, tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will tell you whether the Blender is the right route or whether it is a formulation job.
